Volunteers Wanted!
The Mandurah Community Gardens Inc. committee is seeking volunteers to help fill positions available for:
Taking on a role in the committee is great way to get involved in the running of the gardens and to be involved in making decisions that affect the garden. This is an opportunity to use the skills gained from your life experience and to learn new skills. Being more involved means that you will make friends, and provide an active purpose to your life by contributing to, and doing something for your local community. Ideally, we would welcome the positions being taken up by current members, but we are open to considering anyone who lives locally and is not currently a member of MCG. All positions will have training provided and support from committee members. If you are interested, please Email Jenny at info@mandurahcommunitygardens.com.au or Cheryl at events@mandurahcommunitygardens.com.au for more information. |
POTTED PLANT RESCUE AND REHOMING
Mandurah Community Gardens is now a place where loved potted plants and potted family treasures that have a story and are needing a new home, can go to. We are offering to give unwanted and discarded potted plants a second chance by rescuing them and then finding them a new home. Any income received will go towards the running costs of the community garden. If you, a friend or family member are downsizing, going into care or are dealing with a deceased estate and have potted plants that you would like to go to a good home, please email Cheryl events@mandurahcommunitygardens.com.au Conditions apply: Sorry, we can't take Yuccas or Agaves. |
