🍓 EMERGENCY STRAWBERRY PLANT SALE!
Got a blank spot in your garden patch? We’ve got an unexpected surplus of bare-rooted strawberry plants that need a home THIS WEEK ONLY! John Draper from Harvest ME has helped us secure these, but because they are bare-rooted, they need to get into the soil ASAP. We cannot take pre-orders, so it’s first-in, best-dressed! 📅 When & Where to Catch Us 📍 Where: Mandurah Community Garden – Coodanup Drive (right next to Coodanup College). ⏰ Pickup Days:
🤔 What does "Bare-Rooted" mean, and why is it awesome? If you've never bought bare-rooted plants before, don't worry—it’s actually the secret weapon of pro gardeners! 🌱 What it means: These plants have been grown in the ground, dug up during their dormant phase, and had the soil washed off their roots. You aren't buying a plastic pot full of dirt; you are buying pure, concentrated plant! ✨ The Advantages:
Bring a bag or a container down to Coodanup Drive this Tuesday or Saturday and set up your future strawberry feasts. See you there! ❤️ BYO boxes/bags if you can! |

Mosquitos
Advise for garden visitors and the local community: We have lots of mosquitos in the community garden, like everywhere in Mandurah at the moment. We encourage all visitors to dress appropriately and use repellent as there is always a risk of catching a mosquito carried disease like Ross River Virus from a mosquito bite. POTTED PLANT RESCUE AND REHOMING
Any pre-loved potted plants needing a new home, can be rehomed. We can give unwanted and discarded potted plants a second chance by rescuing them and then finding a new owner to look after them. All income from sales goes towards the running costs of Mandurah Community Gardens Inc. If you, a friend, or family member have potted plants that you would like to go to a good home, please contact us via our form. Sorry, we can't take Yuccas or Agaves! |
