Mandurah Community Gardens has been hosting community events and workshops since it opened in 2012. These activities are a vital part of the garden and provide the community with the social and educational opportunities needed to help us keep healthy and mentally stimulated. The workshops held at the gardens allow people with skills and knowledge to teach others so that everyone has the opportunity to learn something new.
Mandurah Community Gardens is the living embodiment of our motto - Grow, Learn, Enjoy!
Make sure to check the Events Calendar page for upcoming events.
About Our Workshops
The workshops held at Mandurah Community Gardens over the years have covered a range of topics, providing a venue for our members and the local community alike to learn something new while having fun and making friends with others.
These workshops have covered many topics:
About gardening itself, including how to control insects or weeds.
We have been shown how to set up organic and sustainable garden beds.
We've had fun while learning to make wonderful and crafty creations.
Learnt how to make environmentally friendly organic food to grow a healthy garden.
And we have been enlightened as to what food really is, and how growing our own good food makes us happier, healthier and smarter.
We are always open to learning something new. So if you have would like to share your expertise with us and teach our community through a workshop held at Mandurah Community Gardens, please contact us - we would love to see you here.
