Prepping The SoilThe land around the Mandurah area is known for its sandy composition. Lacking organic material and being mostly sand, it is very water repellent. This makes it very difficult for veggies to establish and thrive.
Planting veggies and other plants in our local soil requires a bit of work to prepare it for growing. Adding organic matter and mulch, allows a biome of helpful organisms, the inclusion of nutrients, and the provision of water retention that will help turn the barren sand into good growing soil. |
